I gather that there was some problems posting comments, although this morning I see that Grandma Ueland was able to post a comment, so hopefully the problem is fixed. I changed some settings that should make it easier to post comments as well.

The triumph of hope over experience . . .
So it turns out that the love affair between Gus and his crib was indeed short lived. Last night he slept comfortably with his head resting on Dad's chest for much of the evening before taking a turn on Mom in the wee hours of the morning.
Of course tonight we will try again. And after that, we will try again . . . and again . . . and again, etc.
Other than the slight crib related regression, the weekend was a good one. Emily and Gus both received lots of presents yesterday as Emily celebrated the big 3-0, and Gus the equally big milestone of 8 weeks. I even got in on the present action (thanks again, Jesse and Susu!), with my very own frog water hose guard. Wayne and Mary prepared a very nice 100% vegetarian meal complete with homemade peach pie. Overall a nice time was had by all.
This week Gus goes to the doctor for his two-month appointment where he will receive the first round of immunizations. Bad times. Be sure to be thinking about the little man around 1:00pm this Friday.
Finally -- we expect that Gus will start to sneeze less as a cleaning crew is currently putting in hard time rounding up the herd of dust animals that reside at our house. A top to bottom cleaning is what we were promised. The clean house will be just in time for the weekend when Dan, Jess, and Ella make another visit to Minneapolis. Here are more pictures of the G-Man to brighten your Monday:

Milestone
I don't want to get too excited quite yet, but this morning our little man had his first real nap in his crib! What's more, he is sleeping in his crib right now as I write this post. While it is too early to tell whether it is a one-time thing, or if he is really going to start sleeping in there -- it is still an encouraging sign. I guess the lesson is that you have to keep faith and keep traveling down the road, even if you don't know what's going happen, or exactly where you're going. In the end your hope will be rewarded. Enough words. We want pictures of the Gus Man!
Looking Good in Red
I'm a little concerned . . .
That you might try to send me to bed.

The Gus Stop
Although merely aspirational at this point, hopefully this blog will become THE place for all the content regarding Gus Adriaens Ueland.
Stay tuned for updates and pictures.
